      Tunable White Lighting Systems

      Join your fellow IES members for the Tunable White Lighting Systems lecture; speaker Joe Gohn.  The review of the basic technology behind controlling the spectrum of indoor lighting systems that have a positive effect on the users of commercial spaces by leveraging the concept of “tunable-Lighting”. Learning Objectives: Understanding of the human circadian rhythm and how it regulates many other physiological processes and the impact of lighting beyond visual activity:  the biological clock of humans affecting sleep, mood, concentration, and alertness. Review the recent developments that have led to digitalization (and control) leading to the concept of  Tunable Lighting. An understanding of what is meant by “tunable” light. Review of application and the benefits associated with controlled and tuned lighting. (AIA LU/HSW 1.0 hr.) –PHIL 24.
