Cary Lifestyle Fall Fashion Preview for Saving Grace NC

Please join  Cary Lifestyle Magazine for a wonderful night of charity, fashion, decadent food and drinks and shopping. Proceeds go to  Saving Grace NC,non-profit animal rescue, that since its inception in 2004, is responsible for finding loving, forever homes for over 20,000 dogs in our community.   The Wake Forest based animal rescue takes in dogs from all parts of rural North Carolina and gives them a second chance at life. The most magnificent thing about Saving Grace is that dogs with heartworms, who would otherwise be euthanized, are taken in by the Wake Forest Rescue. One more remarkable thing about Molly is that she is a huge believer in canine behavioral therapy. In short, this is truly an animal rescue that cares.   Please join our magazine for a night full of entertainment and fashion with a spin- we get to contribute to Saving Grace's initiative to save even more innocent lives!   As the founder and publisher of Cary Lifestyle Magazine, I knew that I always wanted to use the gift of this community publication to help others- in this case animals. Since four to five years old I was always rescuing and rehabbing animals. MOLLY GOLDSTON AND VOLUNTEERS HELP RESCUE DOGS FIND A FOREVER HOME Article Alexandra Streight | Photography Blissmore Photography Upon entering the gates of the Wake Forest-based animal rescue Saving Grace NC, one gets a sense of utter joy. At first sight, Saving Grace appears to be a happy farm where friendly dogs roam freely while interacting with loving volunteers and inquisitive visitors. However, behind the scenes, Molly Goldston and her dedicated volunteers and foster families work tirelessly around the clock to ensure the safe transport and care of hundreds of dogs. Saving Grace was Molly’s longtime vision.  An avid animal lover and Meredith College graduate, Molly worked for the SPCA of Wake County immediately after college. There, she became increasingly interested in animal behavior and developed a yearning to reach the most rural communities in North Carolina. Soon after, Molly turned her grandmother’s arm into an animal safe haven where Molly and her team have been able to find loving forever homes to more than 20,000 dogs. None of it could be possible without her network of foster families, like the Tans. Nancy Tan—along with her children, Katie and Jack—have been fostering for Saving Grace for years. They foster puppies 75% of the year and have three Saving Grace dogs of their own that they adopted. While the outside of the farm is cheery with flowers on every corner and bright pink structures for the animals, running such a large animal rescue does have its challenges. The medical costs are relatively high, and donations are needed in order for Saving Grace to expand its facility and create a structure that allows for a smoother operation. The facility is able to home, on average, 120 dogs at one time. The hope is that with continued donations, along with support from volunteers and the community, the rescue will be able to reach even more dogs in the years to come. Visit SavingGraceNC.org to find out how you can help.
