      24 Hour Gaming Marathon to Benefit Extra Life

      Are You Ready for the One Game Night to Rule Them All? So every year Extra Life, an online grassroots effort that's part of the Children’s Miracle Network, holds a 24-hour gaming marathon to benefit a Local Children’s Hospital.This year we're teaming up with the gorgeous co-working space The Nest in Downtown Raleigh (seen below) for Round 3 of a massive gaming marathon unlike any other! During this marathon, Video Gamers and Board Gamers alike will unite to play games for 24 hours, well technically 25 hours straight (thanks Daylight Savings Time) to raise money for the Duke Children's Hospital. Our goal is to raise $1,200 this year! Want to Attend? There's Four Ways to Get a Ticket!This event will be limited to only 25 gamers and NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Pre-Registration is required.  Method #1 - Show Proof of DonationHave you donated or raised at least $200 to Extra Life in 2019? Send us an email with a link to your Extra Life Profile or a copy of your donation receipt. Once received, you will get a promo code which can be used to redeem (1) free ticket. Please Note: You Must Email Us to Get a Ticket. A Donation does not automatically guarantee you a space unless you email us. Pre-Registration is required for entry to this event. Method #2 - Buy a Ticket Through EventbriteBuy a ticket directly through Eventbrite and bring the confirmation receipt with you to the event. That will be your ticket. 100% of ticket proceeds will be donated to Extra Life. Method #3 - Volunteer for Setup or Breakdown Crew!Can't afford a ticket but still want to attend (or help out?) then email us to request to be a volunteer. Please note that if you attend this event but fail to complete your shift you will be banned from participating as a volunteer for future events. Method #4 - Be an ACTIVE Member of the Extra Life RDU GuildAll active members of the Extra Life RDU Guild will recieve free admission to this event. If you are an active member of the guild please contact your guild president for details.   FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Will There Be Food/Drink Available? Snacks, Non-Alcoholic Beverages and Energy Drinks will be available for purchase during the event. If you would like to order food you are welcome to order from many local restaurants that deliver. We will provide a menu with delivery options when you arrive. You are welcome to purchase alcoholic beverages from Issac Hunters downstairs but please drink responsibly. Do I Have to Attend the Marathon for the Entire 24 Hours? No, you can attend for the times that are most convenient for you. Please note that we will be locking the doors from 10pm to 8am. Please contact us if you are planning on attending but cannot attend the hours that are posted. Am I Allowed to Order Outside Food or Bring Outside Food In? Yes, you are more than welcome to bring in outside food and drink. Please do not bring any alcohol, if it is found, it will be confiscated. Will Coffee and Red Bull be Available? We will have a small coffee pot available (you'll need to brew your own coffee). Energy Drinks will be available for purchase. Will There Be a Place We Can Nap? Yes, there will be a special nap lounge for people who need to take cat naps. You will be required to bring your own pillows, blankets and sleeping bags. Can I RSVP with a Guest? No, each attendee will need to sign up individually.What is the Estimated Attendance of this Event? Attendance is limited to 25 people for this event.If I Want to Play Video Games, Do I Have to Bring my own Equipment? Yes, if you plan on playing video games you will be responsible for bringing your own equipment. If I Want to Play Board Games, Do I Have to Bring My Own? If there is a particular game that you would like to play we suggest that you bring it. Triangle Game Night will provide some games for use during the event. The list of titles provided will be coming soon. What Internet is Available?Wifi will be available and free to use. If you are bringing your PC, please make sure you have a method to connect to the wireless network.Where Do I Park?You are welcome to park on the street or a nearby parking garage.
