      MESSIAH Sing-a-long (FREE)

“Messiah Sing-In” Directing: Dr. William J. Weisser This year marks the 30th anniversary of the “Messiah Sing-In.” This annual event features the audience sings the Christmas portion of Handel's "Messiah," with recitatives and arias sung by professional soloists, accompanied by the Triange Youth Philharmonic. For admission, bring a bag of non-perishable canned goods for the Urban Ministry Center and Food Bank of North Carolina. Also bring your copy of the music; a limited number of scores will be available at the door. Everyone sits in the area that suits their voices. Personally, I sit in the soprano section, because I know that part...even though I can't reach the highs anymore. Although the concert starts at 8:00, you want to get there early to get a seat. We can meet in the sanctuary before and outside afterward... For more information, go to: Edenton Street Methodist Church After the concert: Let's meet at Seaboard Railroad Stations J. Betski's. It is directly across the street from Logan's Trading Post. For more information, go to: J. Betski's
